Today, Obama is finally going to bow the gay extremists he has been shunning.  He is going to announce, according to an AP source to both Fox News and Townhall.com, that he is granting government benefits to same-sex partners of federal workers.  Nevermind that a majority of Americans believe this lifestyle is a choice and goes against their religious beliefs, he’s going to shove it down our throats.  Christianity cannot be funded or mentioned in government programs on the grounds it might offend someone, but this, which offends many taxpayers, is not open for debate.

Obama, supposedly a Christian, has supported so many things Christians would never support.  He has supported abortion, embryonic stem cell research, and now this.  Every month he takes more and more steps to eliminate the Christian element in our country and alienate Christians.  Yet, so many have abandoned their core beliefs and support him.  This must be why Rev. Jeremiah Wright requested God to damn America.

In the vein of Michelle Obama, I am today embarrassed of my country for the first time in my life.  I served in the Army under Reagan.  I was proud to serve and would have given my life for my country.  I believed in what it stood for.  Today, though, I can honestly say, I would not serve in the military, could not give my life for this government.

With the mounting debt he is running up to the Chinese and the immoral direction he is taking our country I don’t think it will survive much longer.  He keeps apologizing to everyone for our behavior, past of course, surely he will simply sign over the deed to America soon.  He really is out to destroy America, if he hasn’t in spirit already.

As the “Hate Crime” bill makes its way through the Senate, having already passed the House, Christians and Conservatives have complained that the bill will be used to silence speech not in agreement with the Left’s “progressive” ideas.  We have stated our concern that it will be used to possibly jail those who speak their mind on “controversial” subjects.  We have repeatedly been told that something like that would never happen, that we have the right to say what we want and only those who actually commit crimes will be punished.  They have stated that the “incite” phrase of the bill wouldn’t, even couldn’t, be used against preachers and protesters.

Well, hold on to your hats!

Wacko Keith Olbermann has already lashed out over the killing of mass murderer George Tiller.  On a recent rant show of his, he unleashed on blogger Jill Stanek for her pro-life stance and speech.

The winner, Jill Stanek of the infamous WorldNetDaily, who did not get the point in the assassination of Doctor George Tiller, that you can be complicit in such a crime, even if you never met the man nor his assassin.

As you can see, already we are hearing, not only here but elsewhere in MSM land, that we on the pro-life side are to blame for the death of this killer.  Nevermind that there have already been far more people from the pro-life movement who have denounced his killing than you’ll ever hear Muslims denounce the violence of terrorist killing in the name of Allah.  It’s just further proof that if the “hate crime” legislation is passed, we can kiss our 1st Amendment freedoms good-bye.

Every time the Obamessiah speaks, with or without his teleprompter, the things he says just get wilder and wilder.  He breaks promises or, worse yet, he keeps them.  One thing for sure, there is never a dull moment when he opens his mouth (kinda like Bill Clinton).

For the past eight years, we have gotten accustomed to seeing and hearing our President publicly celebrating the National Day of Prayer.  Bush made it a habit to ensure it was a part of his schedule.  We knew he observed it and found it an important part of our national make-up.

Yesterday, though, Obama simply issued a quiet proclamation to mark the day.  There was no grand speech, no press conference, no prime-time show.  He really didn’t make much of it and his supporters trumpeted his right to observe it quietly, even pointing to verses in the Bible which point to praying in private rather than in public.  That makes me laugh, as Democrats always show their complete lack of understanding of Scriptures when they trot them out.

Yes, there is Scripture in Matthew in which Jesus tells his disciples that they are to pray in private rather than in public.  He likens those praying in public to hypocrites, do so to be seen by others.  Remember, though, he was talking about religious leaders who were trying to look better than they were, trying to make themselves to be more than they really were.  That does not apply to this situation.

A portion of Scripture that does apply, though, can be found in 2 Chronicles 34 & 35.  This is the story of Josiah, the boy king, who found the Book of the Law, which had been lost, read it and realized the sins of his nation, and made a very public show of repenting and challenged his nation to follow his example and return to God.  A leader must lead by example, not silent words.  Josiah is a remarkable example of good, godly leadership.  Clearly, Obama is not in the same category.

In reality, this (in)action, along with other actions such as supporting extreme late-term abortion, gay lifestyles and the destruction of embryos for research speak very loudly about the religion and convictions of Obama.  As I have said from the very beginning of his candidacy, he is NOT a Christian.

We’re used to politicians changing their positions once elected.  Sometimes that results in a simple shift and sometimes it results in an outright lie.  We’ve come to expect some of it.  It seems, though, that Obama took full advantage of that on the campaign trail as he ran for President.  The question become, did he do it intentionally and maliciously or was it just a result of too many people pulling him in too many directions.  Or in otherwords, was he a sly fox or a bumbling idiot.

Today, WorldNetDaily has an article which details ten broken promises.  Keep in mind that the man has only been in office for two months.  Most Presidents are just getting settled into office by then.  This man has already seen fit to break his word at a record pace.  At this pace, he’ll break his word a whopping 240 times in just four years.  I don’t even think the Isuzu man from the 80s commercials could top that!

During his campaign, we heard two words from Obama; hope and change.  Hope is pretty ambiguous.  How can we really measure that?  Could it be the doom and gloom that have pervaded the first 50 days of his Presidency?  Could it be when he told us it might take a while before we see improvement?

Change, though, is really easy to measure.  How do his actions differ from those of previous administrations?  Are the proposals a move in a different direction from where we were heading?  That’s where I have to take issue with the Obamessiah.

So, what could be the worst thing that could happen if Obama were to win on Nov. 4?  Would it really mean the end of our nation?  Our world?  Would any of us really feel a difference?

I’d like to make a few predictions as to what to expect should the Obamessiah win.

First, socialism would finally finish off capitalism.  Obama, with the help of Pelosi and Reid, would begin an immediate shift in policy.  They would pass tax increases, which might eventually reach all the way down to those earning $40,000 to $50,000 (for starters).  While they would begin by taxing the “rich”, to pay for the giveaways they desire, that would be a very fluid definition.  Things such as expanded higher education funding, nationalized healthcare and expanded tax credits for the poor would not stop at the very top.  As taxes go up, revenue goes down.  That’s common economics.  Would they decide they couldn’t afford everything they want to do?  No, they would just increase taxes on the way down until they can get what they want.  That is larger government and larger government control.  The by product will be to drive small businesses out of business and drive larger businesses out of the country.
