As the “Hate Crime” bill makes its way through the Senate, having already passed the House, Christians and Conservatives have complained that the bill will be used to silence speech not in agreement with the Left’s “progressive” ideas.  We have stated our concern that it will be used to possibly jail those who speak their mind on “controversial” subjects.  We have repeatedly been told that something like that would never happen, that we have the right to say what we want and only those who actually commit crimes will be punished.  They have stated that the “incite” phrase of the bill wouldn’t, even couldn’t, be used against preachers and protesters.

Well, hold on to your hats!

Wacko Keith Olbermann has already lashed out over the killing of mass murderer George Tiller.  On a recent rant show of his, he unleashed on blogger Jill Stanek for her pro-life stance and speech.

The winner, Jill Stanek of the infamous WorldNetDaily, who did not get the point in the assassination of Doctor George Tiller, that you can be complicit in such a crime, even if you never met the man nor his assassin.

As you can see, already we are hearing, not only here but elsewhere in MSM land, that we on the pro-life side are to blame for the death of this killer.  Nevermind that there have already been far more people from the pro-life movement who have denounced his killing than you’ll ever hear Muslims denounce the violence of terrorist killing in the name of Allah.  It’s just further proof that if the “hate crime” legislation is passed, we can kiss our 1st Amendment freedoms good-bye.

Bob at Black & Right found an interesting tidbit this evening.  On January 6, 2009, Rep. Serrano (D-NY) submitted H.J. Res. 5, an amendment to the Constitution to repeal the 22nd Amendment.  That amemdment is the one put in place after the last “Savior” the Democrats had left office.  It was put in place to ensure the American people would follow the intent of the Founding Fathers.

George Washington refused to run for office a third time, even though he would have easily won election.  He realized our country didn’t need a king, and to ensure that, the leader must change often.  He, and every President from him to FDR, abided by that wish.  FDR, though, believed himself to be the savior of the nation and ran for four terms.  And look at the damage he did.

Now, the loony Dems in Congress want to use their new-found power to do it again.  As we have seen, though, they have very little respect for the wishes of the Founding Fathers.  They “find” rights in the Constitution that were never put there and reject ones that were clearly spelled out and practiced.  Did we expect more from them?

You know, I remember back after Reagan won his second election, people called for a repeal of the 22nd Amendment so he could run a third time.  His response was to quickly denounce it and state that the wishes of the Founding Fathers and the American people should not be thrown away on anyone.  He stated that if the amendment were repealed, he still wouldn’t run a third time.  Obama has made no such proclamation, and, in fact, H.J. Res. 5 sits in a Judicial Subcommittee awaiting action.  No doubt they’ll try to usher it through as soon as they feel they have opportunity to see it actually ratified.  Thank God for at least 14 deep red states.

Thanks Bob.

In 2003, President Bush nominated Miguel Estrada to an appeals court.  Immediately, Democrats threatened to fillibuster his appointment.  They did this and after a long period, he withdrew his name.  The GOP was to weak then to get him nominated, and they will now be too weak to stop Judge Sotomayor from being appointed to the Supreme Court.

I a matter of a week, the voters of California have really dampened the hopes of the Democrats.  Last week, threatened with smaller government and bankruptcy, voters defeated a host of tax increases.  Today, the California Supreme Court has upheld the voters right to change their Constitution and ban same-sex marriage.  The media and “progressives” everywhere are wailing about the “choices” voters make.

Ever since the 2008 elections, liberals have been getting braver by the day.  You don’t have to look to far on the net to hear and see new outrageous statements from the left.  Whether it’s Obama telling a private company who they can employ or judges stating that homeschooled children should be put into public school to “challenge” their parent’s teaching, the statements just get more and more out there.

That’s the determination of House Democrats yesterday, as they passed H.R. 1913, which expands the hate crimes laws to include crimes based on sexual orientation, including those whose speech “induces” others to acts of violence.  This was clearly aimed at those who speak out, proclaiming that homosexuality is immoral.  Despite claims from the Left that it would never come to that, many supporters admit that it could be used against someone, say a pastor, who simply speaks out against the lifestyle.

Every day, this facist Pelosi-Reid-Obama government takes steps further and further away from the Constitution.  The next thing to happen will be to appoint judges who share the same facistic viewpoints.  If this bill comes before the current Supreme Court, it will surely be struck down as a clear violation of our First Amendment rights.  Hopefully, there will be no retirements or deaths of Conservatives on the Court, although I wouldn’t put it past Pelosi, Reid or Obama to assassinate one of them, calling it a “patriotic” slaying to “protect rights.”

We have endured the last 100 days, hoping the Left would expose their true identity and agenda prior to the upcoming 2010 elections.  As fast as they are moving toward facism, stripping our rights at every turn, I’m not sure America will survive that long.

As we’re aware, there are states redefining marriage, mostly by judicial fiat.  The concern of those of us on the Right is always the “full faith and credit” clause of the Constitution.  This clause seems to state that a legal contract or license in one state must be recognized in all others.  This seems to be true, in that, if I move to another state, my wife and I will not have to get remarried.

This administration is in the process of stripping rights faster and further than any administration in our history.  They are violating rights by taxing specific individuals unfairly.  They are pursuing legislation to limit dissenting speech.  They are considering removing the protection from doctors to object to proceedures they consider immoral and against their conscience.  They have stolen parental rights to protect their daughters from dangerous medicines.

In less than 100 days, Obama is on the fast track to completely destroy America.  I guess we really can’t blame him, it’s been his hope all along.  We need only look at the teaching he sat under in church for 20 years and the few votes he actually made as a Senator.  He hates America and feels the world would be better off without her.

Overwhelmingly, in state after state, the people vote down the idea of gay marriage.  Whether it’s an amendment to their constitutions or simple laws, the people who vote disapprove of such an idea.  People generally feel this is not a civil rights issue, but a moral and choice issue.

Yet, the militant gay activists, usually with the help of the ACLU, won’t accept that no one accepts their lifestyle choice.  So, they turn to either the courts or the liberal legislatures for acceptance.  They will either sue, sue, sue until they reach a sympathetic enough court, as was the case in Iowa, or they demand the legislature go against the will of the people and pass a law to approve of their perversion, as is now the case in Vermont.

In either event, the will of the people is overturned.  This is not the first time, though, it’s a regular occurance and the way the system works.  It even worked to keep slavery legal.

That is an interesting idea, as the people on the pro-homosexual side will usually argue that, just like the Civil Rights Movement of the 60s, they don’t want their “rights” trampled on.  History shows, though, it is usually the people that fight for what’s right and the government, influenced by some extreme group, that deny rights.  Government, prior to the Civil War, came up with compromise after compromise to keep slavery in place.  The majority of the people, especially Christians, opposed it.  The majority of people feel abortion is the destruction of human life, therefore a trampling of rights, yet the courts were asked to intervene against the will of the people.

Here, again, government is being asked to force on the good people of this country something they feel is wrong and dangerous to society.  Bowing to the pressure of rich lobbyists, they have caved and gone against the will of the very ones who elect them.  Yet, come election time, the people will again forget this outrage and put into power the very ones who oppose them.

God help us all.
